Before its too late.

Miss sitting on the swing and going weeeeee ?
Coming home from school, finishing homework and having a sorted life because you listened to mommy back then ?
Do you miss going to school ? Do you miss the beginning of anything new ?

Everyone, each one of us has heard this time and again by a parent, professor, aunt or uncle. It goes like “Make the most of it. This time isn’t coming back.”

What we fail to realize is how true these words are and how it applies to every part of our life. After which, we are left with only 2 choices. Remembering it all as fond memories or wishing that you’d given it some more. Each one of us does both. As the cliche saying goes, you realize the importance of something only after you have it no more.

These words hold a ring of truth. How many times do you find yourself looking at the kids in the playground and going all back when.., how often do you miss doing Algebra ? Well I miss it a whole lot since the last time I solved Algebra was 5 to 6 years ago and also because the course I’m studying does not include Algebra. And no, the solution to these is not ‘why don’t you go relive it by sitting on the sea-saw again’ or sitting with a paper, solving Algebra sums. Because believe me I’ve tried. It does not work. Things do not feel the same after they’ve passed by, no matter how much you try.

So ten days before my 21st, i.e. counting from today till 5th March, I realized that the feeling of not having /feeling something that you had earlier, makes you feel reeeeely reelly bad and the only possible solution to that is making the most of what you have right now. Giving it your all so you wont regret it as much later on.
If you’re breathing in the rain-wet-mud smell, take it in so much, choke yourself on it. Eating an ice-cream ? Lick it some more. Cooking your first meal ? Enjoy every mistake and make some more. Your first kiss ? Kiss some more : )

Time gone, does not come back. And when the truth of that settles in, you’ll see what I’m going on about. No one likes living with regrets. Give it your all and live life some more : )

Through Indecisive Decisions, I talk about those little things in life that most of us don't pay heed to. Any sea facing place, coffee and a book is all I need : )
